At the end of April, the political forces learned by lottery the numbers that will be written on the ballots. The first number went to the Freedom Party – it will be led to the EP elections by the party’s presidential candidate Dainius Žalimas.

Second on the ballot is the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party. The leftist list to the EP is led by the party’s chairperson, MEP Vilija Blinkevičiūtė.

“Workers” are coming to the EP with the third number – the leader of their list is Seimas member Valentinas Bukauskas.

The Party of Regions of Lithuania, which was number four on the ballot, will be led to the elections by the mayor of Širvintos, Živilė Pinskuvienė.

The leader of the list of the fifth – Lithuanian Peasants and Greens Union (LVŽS) is the former Minister of Health and the party’s former presidential candidate Aurelijs Veryga.

At that time, the list of Lithuanian Polish election campaign-Christian Family Union was headed by the chairman of this political force, member of the EP, Waldemar Tomaszewski. The party will be numbered six on the ballot.

The seventh place on the ballot is the Lithuanian Green Party. Ieva Budraitė, the head of the political force, leads the list to the EP.

Petras Gražulis, who was removed from the parliament by impeachment, will lead the list of the People and Justice Union (centrists, nationalists) to the elections. The number of political power in the list is 8.

The then-ruling Liberals, listed as number nine, will be led by longtime MP Eugenijus Gentvil.

The 10th number on the ballot went to the Peace Coalition – the Lithuanian Christian Democracy Party and the Žemaičių Party. The list of this coalition will be led by MP Mindaugas Puidokas.

11th – the party “Freedom and Justice”. Artūras Paulauskas leads the list of these political forces to the EP.

The Christian Union, number 12 in the ballot, will be led by Algimantas Rusteika.

At that time, the Union of Democrats “Vardan Lietuvos”, having drawn the 13th number by lottery, will be led by the current European Commissioner Virginijaus Sinkevičius.

The Conservatives will be number 14 on the ballot. The current MEP Andrius Kubilius will lead the list of the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) to the EP.

The last ones on the ballot – the 15th – representatives of the National Unification. The list of candidates of the political force is headed by party chairman Vytautas Radžvilas.

EP elections in Lithuania will be held on June 9 this year.
