On Saturday evening, the journey of one driver in the city of Kėdainiai made some people smile, and others – surprised. In the very center of the city, a man was driving a car on a pedestrian path. By the way, according to the taxi drivers who witnessed the incident and worked there, such cases happen from time to time – and not just one.
He was walking on the footpath
8 p.m. 28 min. A Mercedes Benz car driving from the Švisiosiis gymnasium, after passing the municipal building, turned left at the traffic light, onto the pedestrian path.
At that time, there were no people on the pedestrian path, the car successfully left the Maximos shopping center.
It is true that this incident did not go unnoticed – the taxi drivers who saw the incident began to signal him, but this did not stop the driver, he drove away.

By the way, this place is guarded by city video surveillance cameras, the image is constantly recorded. Witnesses of the incident thought that maybe the driver got confused, or maybe he was not a local – he got lost.
A few meters away is the entrance to the shopping center lot, but the driver would not have been able to turn here either, as this is prohibited by a continuous line.

The sign “Pedestrian path” has been erected in this place, which indicates that this is a part of the road intended for pedestrians.
Driving on this path, the driver commits an offense which is defined in Article 417 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Lithuania – “Failure to follow road signs or markings”.
