Kėdainiai’s special services also fell into this drama of a divorcing couple – the man who tried to impose his “justice” poured gasoline on the house and threatened to set it on fire.
They poured gasoline on the house
8 p.m. 43 min. The General Assistance Center received a report from a woman that a man poured gasoline on a house in Mēklos Street, Savečiai village, Pelėdnagii district, Kėdainiai district, and was going to set it on fire.
Firefighters and police officers were promptly sent to the scene.
When the special services arrived at the specified place, it became clear that the man did not have time to realize his intentions.
“There was no fire when the firefighters arrived. A half-wooden, half-brick house with an area of 20 m² was doused with gasoline. To prevent an accident, the firefighters had to wash the walls of the house”, said Džiuginta Vaitkevičienė, senior specialist of the Kaunas Fire Rescue Board, about the incident.
Family is different
It turned out that the man who tried to set fire to the house in the village was the former partner of the woman who lives in this house with a child.
Another man lives in the same house, just on the other side of it.
Neighbors said that until now there were no conflicts in the family or they did not see them. They said that they know that people who are still quite young go on different paths in life and the man apparently tries to figure out the relationship in such ways.
