The exhibition “Between Being and Memory. Old images of Vilnius castles” catalog publishes introductory articles and scientific research by the organizers of the exhibition, reviewing the depiction of the palaces of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and other buildings of Vilnius castles in iconographic sources from the 14th century. the end of the 20th century the end The catalog part of the publication consists of five parts, divided according to chronological and thematic principles: I. “Topography. Vilnius castles in plans and panoramas”, II. “Being. Vilnius Castle in Old Iconography”, III. “Living. Vilnius Castle in the visions of romantics”, IV. “(De)lease. Destruction of the historical landscape”, V. “Restoration. Recovery Ideas and Plans”. The publication presents nearly 200 exhibits exhibited at the exhibition.
