As indicated by our responsible agencies, based on Ukraine’s experience, with adequate preparation, institutional capabilities and securing sufficient, timely international financial support, the country can continue to function even in extremely difficult war conditions.

How the state of Lithuania would act in the event of an emergency, such as a war, is provided for by the Law on Mobilization and Support of the Host Country.

It defines how mobilization would be carried out – reorganization of the activities of the state, municipal institutions or institutions and economic entities, as well as the conscripts’ conscripts for compulsory military service to defend the state and/or fulfill the international obligations of the State of Lithuania.

There is also a special government resolution that approves the list of state mobilization tasks for state and municipal institutions and institutions.

It foresees the tasks of many mobilization entities, such as ministries, municipalities, the Bank of Lithuania and others in the event of mobilization, so that each of them knows the necessary actions to perform.

How much cash to have?

There is a lot of talk about what items to prepare and have in the so-called departure bag, which would be needed in the event of an emergency.

What about finances and monetary resources – what do citizens need to know?
