Spring is the time for future environmental visions for the settlers of residential areas. It is accompanied by a growing attention to sustainability, social responsibility of companies providing services. All this dictated an original marketing campaign for two companies located in the Kaunas area. The construction services company Inofort and the Evieta Group, which provides solutions for the installation of solar power plants and electric car stations, sent the message about their services along with the feather bulb sets. In March, 2 thousand people received flyers with a surprise and an invitation to participate in the lottery. Settlers of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Tauragė, Trakai.

A new opportunity for an old channel

“Physical mailboxes are an old, previously intensively used communication channel by businesses. It’s no secret that a frequent recipient of mail was annoyed by an unlimited amount of advertising flyers, and in the long run the reserves of this channel began to seem exhausted. However, I wanted to try to use it effectively and interestingly. In no way did we want to look like polluters of mailboxes – we had a vision for people to see us as a responsible business thinking about a meaningful step, the real creation of value for the customer”, says UAB Inofort manager Aurimas Drūtys.

According to him, the aim of the campaign was to reach its potential customers – the company’s employees themselves took out flyers with flower bulbs, which allowed them to get to know the settlers’ living environment better. It was expected that the parcel would cause good emotions to the recipients, encourage them to smile.

A. Drūtys sees it as an advantage that similar partners fostering the ideas of social responsibility and business sustainability contributed to the campaign – Evieta Group, which provides solutions for the installation of solar power plants and electric car stations, and manages the brand “evieta”. It was not only the similar values of the companies that were important, but also the opportunity to strengthen the offer, to cooperate on the budget of the marketing project, to apply more attractive lottery conditions.

It was easy for the two companies located under one roof in the co-working space of several companies to find a common language – representatives of different businesses operating in similar hubs usually share their experiences and ideas, there is no shortage of incentives for cooperation.

Considered expectations for social business behavior

Feather bulbs were chosen for the spring mail surprise, especially convenient for planting. According to A. Drūtis, there was no shortage of challenges when looking for the most suitable solution. For example, it was necessary to find bulbs that fit through the opening of the mailbox, to avoid the risk of them freezing or overgrowing. Dry feather bulbs, which could wait for planting day for a long time, turned out to be the best option in every way. In addition, compared to other bulbous plants, plums are easy to care for and can be planted in the lawn, as the stem dries after the flower blooms, and after it is cut with the grass, the plant continues to live successfully.

Plumes are plants suitable for decorating home flower beds, balconies or terraces. According to Inofort’s CEO, these elegant flowers, often referred to as “Daughters of the Winds” (the genus name comes from the Greek word “anemos” for wind), perfectly suited the lifestyle of the active, environmentally conscious young man of today, and they also suited the hard-working lifestyle of the settlers. season.

“As shown by the research conducted in the last few years, the expectations of the country’s consumers for the social behavior of companies are growing. Already in 2022 according to the data of the conducted study, even 88 percent respondents thought it was important for companies to act in accordance with the principles of social responsibility – behave responsibly towards their employees, customers, consumers, try to do as little damage to the environment as possible with their actions, etc. Almost half of the survey participants claimed that it was very important to them. Therefore, we take this aspect into account when offering our products. In the construction process, we organize the materials and their installation in such a way that after many years of the building’s service life, all materials are easy to separate, sort and reuse,” points out A. Drūtys.

Inofort UAB positions itself as an innovator of the Lithuanian construction market, striving to always stay at least one step ahead, ensuring both the comfort of the construction process and the strength and durability of the house. Inofort houses are manufactured and built using light thin-walled steel structures (LPPK) technology, which enables the entire wall thickness of the house to be used for insulation, thus saving useful space. By combining innovative technologies, the company designs, manufactures and builds residential houses, mobile buildings, summer houses, sheds, warehouses and other multi-purpose modular buildings of the highest standards with A++ class energy efficiency.

The plans of the new settlers include a complex of sustainable solutions

According to Valdas Drūtis, manager of Evieta Group, a market player of solar power plants and electric car charging stations, the partnership in organizing a joint marketing campaign with Inofort was extremely organic, as the services of both companies are focused on the needs of a modern settler. Some of these are saving energy resources, choosing sustainable homes, renewable energy sources and mobility solutions.

“When choosing a new stage of life, it is typical for the settlers of big cities to plan a whole complex of sustainable solutions. Choosing, for example, a solar power plant dictates other options, such as, say, the use of cheaper electricity when purchasing an electric car and its charging station. And, on the contrary, after purchasing an electric car from ecological incentives, its operating costs are assessed, so a decision is made to install a solar power plant with a charging station”, observes the head of Evieta Group.

He also points out that recently, when it comes to the development of electric transport, the need for the necessary infrastructure is increasingly being mentioned. Individual charging stations for electric cars are one of the important parts of such an infrastructure, complementing the network of public charging stations.

They won a storage frame and an electric car charging station

Recipients of flyers together with feather bulbs were invited to participate in a lottery. The QR code in the leaflet led to the promotional page where the form could be filled out. Two prizes were allocated for the lottery – a charging station for an electric car or a steel warehouse frame.

One of the winners is a 35-year-old man who lived in a residential block in Kaunas 7 years ago and has two children with his wife. A man from Kaunas who has already installed a solar power plant and is thinking about buying an electric car chose an electric car charging station, which will allow his family to efficiently use the electricity they produce themselves. Another winner of the lottery is a 44-year-old resident of Kelmės district, she chose a steel frame of the warehouse for the safe storage of environmental care products.

“We thank all the participants of the competition and wish them success in decorating the environment and choosing sustainable household solutions. I believe that business and consumers, looking in the same direction of the environmental protection, green course, can do a lot”, noted A. Drūtys, manager of Inofort UAB.
