A motorcyclist’s games with fate take place by breaking traffic rules, exceeding the speed limit by almost three times the speed limit. A motorcyclist also performs prohibited maneuvers that can simply knock other road users off track and cause accidents.
Police are trying to identify him
The man does not lack a sense of humor. The video shows that he could become a premium food delivery courier.
Vilnius traffic police chief Dainius Šalomskas says that the videos posted on social networks are eloquent and without a detailed investigation.
“How he maneuvers, how the rear wheels slip, how he behaves on the road, from one lane to another, these are definitely signs of hooligan driving. It is obvious that the rider wants to show what he is, in the vernacular, cool“, says Vilnius traffic police chief Dainius Šalomskas.
However, the Instagramer’s violations are now being investigated by special officers. The police have not yet identified who this fearless road eagle is, but they will try to do so.
“If we manage to determine who he is, and I hope we will, we will bring him to justice, and it is not that small,” assures D. Šalomskas.
Such maneuvering flyers face a fine of 450 to 550 euros for the first time, as well as the suspension of driving rights for a year or two.
Last year, the police recorded 71 collisions with motorcycles on Lithuanian roads. 5 people died in them, 72 were injured.
Hooligans have been on the rampage before
This motorcyclist – “instagramer” – is not the only “trickster”, soc. demonstrating his toughness in the nets, violating KET and dangerous maneuvering.
Last autumn, toughness was shown to the followers by vaguely Russian-speaking hooligans, running between lanes and other cars, when the speedometer was at 250 km/h. mark, as well as those specially driving on footpaths.
And while filming, they also cursed in Russian.
True, the police could not identify them.
“We were interested, other services were also interested, maybe it is possible to find those signs, how to identify them, but unfortunately, we did not succeed. We also asked the detectives for help in obtaining such information, but it was not possible, but the news that the police were interested worked for them, and they stopped doing such things,” says the head of the Vilnius traffic police.
The police were also unable to identify the BMW-driving hooligans who ran amok on the capital’s roads at the beginning of the year.
“Similarly, until we saw it, we didn’t review it, and until they found out that we were interested, maybe those images would have continued to exist, but as far as I know, no more of those images appeared,” says D. Šalomskas.
According to Shalomskos, such irresponsible driving is a frequent cause of accidents, when innocent people who drive properly are injured due to irresponsible behavior and the desire to show off.
