Avion Express, one of the world’s leading ACMI (aircraft charter, maintenance and insurance) services, has entered into a partnership with international pilot training company BAA Training. These two companies belonging to the Avia Solutions Group will train new pilots using the world’s most advanced real flight simulator, the Airbus FFS A320 CEO/NEO. It is planned that it will be used by Avion Express pilots for 6,000 hours a year, with the rest being available to other BAA Training pilots.

The entire aviation industry is currently facing a pilot shortage. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimates that 500-600 thousand will be needed in the next two decades. new pilots. The two companies are already looking for solutions, and they are doing it by joining forces.

As Avion Express CEO Darius Kajokas says, the long-term partnership regarding the use of the simulator for airline training needs is an extremely important and well-calculated step that will allow for more stable planning of future development and even better response to the training needs of its pilots.

“We have been growing at a tremendous pace for the past few years. Currently, we already have 600 pilots in our team. If we want to grow further, we must create a smooth system for training new specialists and ensure that existing pilots get the most comfortable conditions for improving their competences. We highly value the partnership with one of the strongest training centers BAA Training, he says.
According to the manager of Avion Express, it will be possible to plan training at a convenient time, regardless of external factors and adapting to the needs of its pilots.

For his part, BAA Training CEO Marijus Ravoitis emphasizes that the Airbus A320 CEO/NEO real flight simulator will help the company further strengthen its position in the extremely competitive aviation training market.
