Klaipėda passenger transport informs that from Wednesday, May 1, parking is charged for the summer season on the seashore, while the parking time in the city center will be extended until later in the evening.
From May 1 to September 15, the toll must be paid on the entire Klaipėda city coast: Melnragė, Giruliai, Smiltyne. The charging time in Smiltyne is from 8:00 to 22:00, on the other beach – from 8:00 to 20:00. In Smiltyne, you pay the rate of the Red zone, in Melnrage and Giruliai, you can choose a parking place in the Yellow or Green zone.
Starting from the same day, charging and parking in the Karklė settlement in the territory of the Klaipėda district and its approaches. In the parking lot near Olando’s hat, the rate is 1 EUR/hour, near “Žilvitis” – 60 ct/hour, in other areas of Karklė – 30 ct/hour.
In the city center, the charging regime is changing in the Yellow zone at the Castle site and at the entrances to the Recreation Park, as well as in the entire Red zone. It will be mandatory to pay the toll here every day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
