The rapidly warming weather in the capital reminds us of the approaching summer season. From May 1 a seasonal local toll for on-street parking of vehicles begins to be collected at the main city beach accesses. The toll for parking will be collected at the entrances to Zhaliių lakes, Valakampiai I and II beaches, Tapeliai and Balzis lakes and will cost 0.60 euros per hour.

The parking lots near the mentioned beaches fall within the limits of the yellow zone, where parking is charged every day of the week from 8 am. to 8 p.m., from May 1 until September 30 Vilnius residents and city guests will be able to conveniently and quickly pay for parking with the mobile app “m.Parking” or at the parking meters located near the beaches.

For those who intend to visit the capital’s beaches – a vacationer’s memo

“We invite car drivers to pay attention to the road signs installed near the beaches and to follow the road traffic rules, not to block passageways, not to disturb other road users and residents of Vilnius. When you arrive at the city’s beaches, it is worth remembering the general procedure: leave trash only in the designated trash cans, do not damage the infrastructure,” JUDU Communications and Marketing Manager Vitalija Roče shares in the vacationer’s note.

JUDU controllers and Public Order Officers of the Vilnius City Municipality constantly monitor the situation at the approaches to the capital’s beaches during the warm season, and record violations in the event of non-compliance with public order, road traffic or vehicle parking rules.
