As informed by the prosecutor’s office, in 2023 July 25 Vilnius City District Court, which examined the criminal case, sentenced 6 convicts to fines ranging from 4,900 to 7,300 euros. TG, a former employee of JV “Regitra” and VS, who is still working at this company, were also imposed a criminal sanction by the court – they were deprived of the right to work as a civil servant or a person equivalent to him for three years, and confiscated the funds obtained from the criminal act – a total of 350 euros.

The pre-trial investigation was organized and the state prosecution was supported in court by the prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation was conducted by the officers of the Criminal Police Organized Crime Investigation Board of the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat.

According to the case data, four persons directly offered, promised to give and gave bribes to two specialists of JV “Regitra” so that they, using their service, acquaintances and other probable influence, would influence the employees of this state company or act illegally themselves in the exercise of their powers, not record the actions taken during the driving test errors, so that several people successfully pass the driving test and obtain a category B driver’s license. The bribes taken by specialists ranged from 100 to 150 euros to help pass the driving test.

According to the criminal case, two convicts were also accused of attempting to distribute narcotic and psychotropic substances. By the same verdict of the district court of the city of Vilnius, they were found guilty of this criminal act.

AJ, who was previously convicted for various criminal acts, and EO, who acted together with him, distributed narcotic and psychotropic substances to one person as examples. After meeting with him, AJ and EO discussed the conditions for bringing narcotic substances to Lithuania from England and Spain, how they could be transported to other countries, and looked for sales opportunities and buyers.

For attempted distribution of narcotic and psychotropic substances (according to Article 22, Article 1 and Article 260, 1 of the Criminal Code), the court sentenced AJ to 2 years of imprisonment, EO was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months. prison sentence.

The decision of the Vilnius District Court can be appealed in the cassation procedure.
