“My question would be to the Minister of Energy regarding UAB Alvora. What kind of mobbing are you doing to Alvora, Minister?” It is one of the largest, most reliable companies in Lithuania, which has mainly built gas pipelines not only in Lithuania, but also in our neighboring Estonia, having implemented the Finland connection. You are now forcing the state energy regulator, Amber Grid, to replace parts that were installed before the war in Ukraine (that’s the Lithuanian part finished at the end of 2021) just because you found Cyrillic characters on some fittings that are said to have been made by Latvians company from Russian steel. After listening to the Audit Committee, we found that all the tests were carried out and that it meets the requirements for the gas pipeline. It is possible that you will change the rolling stock, the rails or the railway track because there are some readings written on them in Cyrillic. Is this simply the desire of “Šiauliai Construction”, the desire of “Šiauliai Gas Pipeline” to deal with its partner with your hands?” – D. Kreivio asked A. Skardžius.

“Dear member of the Seimas, first of all, the minister does not check and does not give instructions, it is the regulator’s decision. The regulator carried out a detailed inspection and made its decision. As you know, the regulator is independent and does not follow the minister’s orders and other things. That’s one thing.

Another thing, you know very well that the investigation is being conducted by the General Prosecutor’s Office of Lithuania, probably the prosecutor’s office will definitely answer all the questions about who and what was forged, what was not forged, what is real, what is fake. As the investigation by the prosecutor’s office is still ongoing, I will not undertake to make assessments, but today it is clear that some of the fittings are without documents, that the reliability of those documents, which appeared from somewhere quite recently, will probably still need to be proven, because the parts came from Western countries, and the documents for some reason appeared Russian. Interesting things are happening here,” answered D. Kreivys.

We remind you that the company “Alvora”, which prepared the Lithuanian-Polish main gas pipeline (GIPL), applied to the General Prosecutor’s Office with a request to start a pre-trial investigation for defamation. As reported by the State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT), a total of 1022 fittings are installed in the GIPL gas pipeline. natural gas system operator AmberGrid is required to replace 123 with Cyrillic markings and no provenance documents.

On its part, Amber Grid emphasizes that the contractor Alvora is responsible for the replacement of non-compliant possibly Russian parts in the strategic Lithuanian gas pipeline, which has to replace the parts at its own expense.

“We are sure that we will defend ourselves against all charges of non-fulfillment of the contract, that we built the pipeline in accordance with all the terms of the contract, it is working perfectly. Instead of admitting their own mistakes and looking for a compromise, state institutions are purposefully trying to form the opinion that “Alvora” has violated the GIPL construction contract and is therefore an enemy of the public, who is not only guilty, but must also be forced to pay for the mistakes he did not make. We appreciate this. as a deliberate misleading of the public, damage and damage to our professional reputation”, – Alvora’s CEO Vaidas Kazlauskas is quoted in the report.

The company accuses Minister of Energy Dainiai Kreivis, representatives of gas system operator Amber Grid, VERT and EPSO-G of defamation.

In the appeal to the General Prosecutor’s Office, according to “Alvora”, it is indicated that the company was deliberately sought to be portrayed in the public space as unreliable, posing a threat to national security.

The main gas pipeline started operating on May 1, 2022. Its installation cost a total of about 500 million. euros. About 60 percent of them funds were allocated by the European Commission, and Lithuania allocated about 116 million to this project.
