There is a moving lighthouse in the streets of the port city

--

Musical performances will take place on the streets of the port city – four or five musicians riding on one electric tricycle will perform various pieces of music. This performance is intended to commemorate the Year of the Lighthouse.

According to Karolis Pronckaus, the event director of the Fisherman’s Palace, the creator of this project, the performances will start at the end of May, when the Street Music Day will be celebrated, and then continue into the summer, mostly on weekends.

“Since it’s the Year of Lighthouses, we thought of making a moving lighthouse. That beacon will be an electric tricycle on which four to five musicians will sit. It will be both mined and electrically powered, it is a large machine with a piano, and the positions are modifiable. Intrigue – in different parts of the city, on Saturdays, in the summer, at gatherings, that bicycle will come and perform under the windows”, said K. Pronckus and added that sometimes well-known Lithuanian performers will also appear.

It is a moving stage that has both sound and a piano.

Their names have not been released yet.

Since Street Music Day will be on May 18, that’s when the first public presentation of the moving bicycle will take place.

On that day, he will drive through the old town, as if symbolically seeing off and welcoming the guests staying in the hotels.

“We promise to go through all the hotels, and a little later we will deliver it mainly in the southern part of the city,” the interviewer assured.

The new bike is made from recycled materials.

“It’s a moving stage that has both sound and a piano, and the piano is removable. We tried, everything seems to be working, but there are still some details left,” K. Pronckus testified.
