The Youth Affairs Agency and 35 partners are implementing the “CONNECTIONS” project

The Agency for Youth Affairs and 35 partners implement the project “CONNECTIONS” 07-020-P-0001 in the period 2024-03-06-2028-02-29whose aim is to reduce the number of inactive young people, by purposefully working with young people with fewer opportunities (potential NEETs) and young people in the NEET group, consistently implementing intervention measures (to help young people return to the labor market and/or the education system) and ensuring preventive measures , responding to the needs of specific young people, implementation.

The project will contribute to the implementation of the principle of sustainable development, developing the personal and social skills of a young person, providing the young person with knowledge and abilities that allow them to integrate into the labor market and/or return to the education system, integrate into society, thus contributing to the reduction of poverty or social exclusion.

Project target group – 15-29 years old youth with fewer opportunities (hereafter – MGT) and inactive young people (hereafter – NEET). Young people with fewer opportunities and inactive young people are understood as defined in the Youth Policy Framework Act.

The following services will be provided to the participants:

– Individual work with young people in order to strengthen their abilities to solve the problems of everyday life and ensure the satisfaction of daily needs according to individual activity plans;

– Working with youth groups in order to develop personal, interpersonal and professional competences;

– Self-knowledge assistance services;

– Social and life skills development service;

– Motivational services;

– Information services about young people’s opportunities;

– Intermediation services in employment, educational institutions;

– Escort, mentoring services;

– Specialists in a narrow field are provided as needed (psychologist, lawyer, employment specialist, health specialist, addictions specialist, tutor, etc.);

– Other activities and/or services intended for the target group are provided according to individual activity plans;

– Payment of compulsory health insurance premiums for NEET.

Scope of the project – until 2028 8,000 people will participate in the project activities (including 1,481 in the capital region and 6,519 in the central and western regions). 30% of them will start studying, looking for a job, and will start working, including self-employment, after participating in the activities.

The total amount of project financing is EUR 13,365,750.21.

The project is financed in 2021-2027. European Union structural support “European Social Fund +” and 2021-2027 European Union structural support with co-financing funds.
