Lithuanian and Central European early-stage technology startups are once again invited to participate in the “Startup Lithuania” acceleration program, which is implemented together with the global innovation platform “Plug and Play”. Startups can now apply to join the second of the planned 5 acceleration cycles and receive top-level mentoring services, access to venture capital and a global collaboration network.

“Partnership with Plug and Play is very important for the entire ecosystem of Lithuanian startups, which helps participants increase their awareness and competitiveness in the international market. The program provides an opportunity to consult, learn, find investors and partners, as well as receive direct financial support. In total, more than 5.9 million euros are expected to be invested in the growth of startups during all acceleration cycles. euros”, says Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Karolis Žemaitis.

“Startup Lithuania” accelerator program together with “Plug and Play” offers comprehensive mentoring services from market leaders, seminars, the opportunity to work with an experienced team of experts and gain valuable insights into product development and realization of their commercial potential for startups seeking to expand from Lithuania to international markets. Startups selected for the program will also be able to participate in the Expo Day event, which is designed to present themselves to potential investors and international companies, and to discover new opportunities for cooperation.

“After the successful launch of the program, we continue our cooperation with Plug and Play and invite a new group of startups to participate. Just like the participants of the first round, the startups that make it to the second group will have a unique opportunity to grow with an international acceleration program that can offer the resources necessary for success. The interest in it is really high and exceeded our expectations – more than 200 startups responded to the first invitation. Therefore, we urge you not to hesitate and to apply quickly”, says Karolina Urbonaitė, head of the Innovation Agency “Startup Lithuania”.

Early-stage technology startups from Lithuania and Central Europe can submit applications until June 14. For those who want to get to know the program better, on May 14. a webinar will be held. During it, it will be possible to get all the necessary information about the structure of the program, the benefits and the application process.

After the application deadline, the Plug and Play team will conduct a detailed analysis of the received candidates. The final selection of the most promising startups for participation in the program will be made by the “Plug and Play” investment committee. In total, about 15 startups will be selected for the second phase of the accelerator. Participants from Central European countries will be invited to register companies in Lithuania.
