The Audi driver, who sped away from the Vilnius police, targeted the republican police’s speedometer

On Wednesday afternoon, the raid took place on the Nemenčinė highway, at the border of the city of Vilnius. Cars driving in both directions were checked near Miškonii.

The police stopped an Audi A3 driving towards the country side. As the officer approached the stopped car, the driver decided to run away.

Audi A3 officers began to chase – but this car managed to break away. Audi driving in the direction of Nemenčinė was caught by traffic police officers – they were just measuring the speed outside Miškonii. In the section where 70 km/h is allowed. speed, the Audi flew at 167 km/h. speed Officers working at the speedometer braked the Audi, and the driver stopped for them. The man was carrying a small child. The fugitive was sober.

It turned out that the Audi driver does not have the right to drive, he has already been fined for this. Now he faces not only a fine, but also the confiscation of the car. The Audi technical assistance service took the cars to the police guarded parking area.

The record holder of the day was also caught near Miškonii: the Hyundai driver blew 1.91 prom on the first attempt. – this is average drunkenness. The driver of the SUV was still drinking – on the second attempt he blew even 2 prom.

The Hyundai driver faces criminal charges. The court will probably revoke the driver’s license for a long time, impose a huge fine, and probably confiscate the car. The driver and the passenger had to continue the journey on foot – the car was taken to the police station.

Nemenčinė pl. two more drunken drivers got caught. The man driving the motorcycle blew 0.35 percent, when motorcycle drivers must be completely sober.

The Mercedes-Benz driver barely exceeded the legal limit of alcohol – he blew 0.45 per cent. Light drunkenness is punishable by approximately 1 thousand. EUR fine, the right to drive will probably be revoked for a year.

Four more drunken drivers were caught by the Vilnius district traffic police in the morning. All of them were found to be mildly drunk.
