Eurozone consumer expectations for inflation over the next 12 months weakened from 3.3% in January to 3.1% in February, according to the latest data from the European Central Bank’s (ECB) regular sociological surveys published on Tuesday.

The new indicator is the most modest since 2022. February, notes “Trading Economics”.

Meanwhile, expectations for annual inflation after three years have not changed at 2.5%.

Consumer expectations for nominal income growth in the coming years have improved, while spending has remained unchanged.

Expectations of economic growth over the next 12 months and the unemployment rate a year from now did not change during the month.
