A salary reaching ten thousand is a new reality these days: there are much more such job advertisements

--

Trends are changing

As Rita Karavaitienė, marketing manager of CV-Online LT, said, if a few years ago job ads with an offered salary of 10 thousand euros were a rarity, the situation has definitely changed in recent years.

“Job ads with an offered salary of 10,000 are certainly not such a rarity anymore. We currently have a few of these, but we have a few of these listed every month. This is quite a big boost, compared to the statistics we had a few years ago”, said R. Karavaitienė.

According to the interlocutor, the most often offered high salaries are in the range between 4 and 8 thousand euros.

“There are tens or hundreds of such job advertisements,” asserted the CV-Online LT marketing manager.

R. Karavaitienė also revealed for which job positions such high salaries are offered.

“We will certainly not be surprised that these are top-level managers – general managers, company managers. Also, there are heads of departments, technical, information technology, financial managers. Information technology stands nearby. Specialists in this field, that is, IT architects, IT engineers, IT team leaders – again, there is a large selection of these ads with extremely high salaries,” she said.

In addition, according to the interlocutor, several sectors can be singled out, in which the salaries of managers reach particularly high levels.

“These are transport companies, energy companies, finance, telecommunications, banks, pharmaceuticals. Maybe there are the most job offers in these business areas,” said R. Karavaitienė.

True, the size of the salary can be related to the size of the company itself.

“In most cases, these are larger companies. It doesn’t have to be a thousand or more employees. About 50 to 250 employees – companies of this size already have higher salaries,” said the interviewer.

The employees themselves also draw their own limits

As the marketing manager of “CV-Online LT” noticed, salaries have been growing recently not only for managers in various fields, but also in almost all other job categories.

“Even for unskilled workers, wages have increased in recent years. 10 percent was the average growth, and for unskilled workers it was even higher than 10 percent. Maybe for middle-level specialists, experienced specialists, salary growth was faster and roughly equal to that of top-level managers”, said R. Karavaitienė.

She singled out whose wages grew the most.

“First, it is possible to single out areas where extremely high competence is required and where there is a severe shortage of workers, where there is considerable demand and very little supply. For example, the demand for workers in the medical field is high and the qualifications are high, so salaries in this category grew faster, but, for example, the same unskilled labor force – it seems that the qualification requirements are really minimal, but there is a high demand for them, so salaries here too was growing Also, other categories such as energy, where the need for specialists is high but there are not as many workers as there is demand, the construction sector, the financial sector, administration, human resources, law – in many areas where there is a mismatch between demand and supply, wages have increased “, said the interlocutor.

It is true that the employees themselves also have their own requirements – they know and clearly adhere to the attitude of what salary and what job they will work for.

“Here you can test yourself very well by looking at job advertisements. If the ad receives very few views, one of the factors why it receives few views or applicants is the low salary offered. The position may be interesting, the company may be interesting, but the salary offered does not meet the expectations of the employees”, said R. Karavaitienė.
