In the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden on Tuesday night, the audience also saw several participants who are already automatically in the final on Saturday.

Among them is 33-year-old Olly Alexander, the leader of the now defunct band Years & Years.

The artist participates in the competition with the song “Dizzy”, and his performance with half-naked dancers is really bright.

“Proud of you Olly!” The vocals, the set design, the visuals, the choreography, the dancing were stunning! And those incredible pirouettes of the dancers,” a fan praised the X singer on the social network.

“I really liked Olly. Great song. Great staging. Great show,” wrote another.

“When I was looking at Olly I swear to god I thought he was in the best video I’ve ever seen,” opined another.

However, after seeing O.Alexander’s number, not everyone was so positive – some Eurovision viewers did not spare criticism for the Briton, from whom much was expected. Dailymail.co.uk writes that the singer had trouble with his vocals.

“I don’t know if Olly was too excited or what, but that vocal was so bad,” said a pageant fan.

“Even though I’m from the UK, Olly’s vocals were slurred and I didn’t like the staging. Although the song is memorable. I was hoping for better vocals from Olly,” wrote another.

“Let’s be honest. Olly Alexander just doesn’t have a voice,” the netizen snapped.

“Maybe Olly is saving his vote for Saturday?” I hope it will be fixed during the finals,” the critics pondered.
