Friends and family are mourning the sudden death of a former beauty queen over the Easter weekend.
Jade Leigh Hunt, 35, who won the Miss West Lothian beauty pageant in 2012, died suddenly on March 30, leaving her loved ones devastated. Jade, who lived in Bathgate, West Lodi, had also won the Miss Galaxy Scotland beauty pageant, writes dailystar.co.uk.
To honor her memory, the family have set up an account for her on the Just Giving website where friends can share their memories of Jade and contribute towards her funeral costs.
In a heartfelt post uploaded to the account, her family wrote: “On Saturday 30th March 2024, our family was shocked by the heartbreaking news of Jade’s sudden death. Jade was the purest of souls, she loved deeply and was loved to no end.”
“Her infectious laugh and wide, beautiful smile that would light up any room. Pretty, pretty girl.”
“Jade left a mark on everyone’s heart whenever she entered their life. Jade was full of fun, laughter, courage, pranks, had a great and witty sense of humor and was always up for something adventurous.”
The family set a target of £700 for her funeral, but this target has already been exceeded, with the funeral bill already at over £1,100 at the time of going to press.
“As a family, we thought it would make sense to create this platform so that Jade’s friends, family and everyone who had the honor of knowing Jade could share their memories and love for Jade,” the loved ones continued.
Relatives also left heartfelt messages, with one person commenting: “Such sad and overwhelming news, Jade was a truly wonderful girl, always a great pleasure to be around.”
“Back in the Bloxx days, I enjoyed working with her as much as everyone else. Rest in peace”.
Others added: ‘You will always be in my heart. You will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved you.”
“My flatmate, friend and little sister, I’m glad you were in my life. I hope you knew how loved you were.”
