Damaged tanks

Oryx, a Dutch open-source intelligence and defense analysis website, has confirmed that Russia has lost 2,948 tanks since the start of the war in Ukraine. It said 1,970 were destroyed, 154 were damaged, 310 were abandoned and 514 were hijacked.

Oryx also confirmed that Ukraine lost 797 tanks during the war, of which 539 were destroyed, 68 were damaged, 59 were abandoned and 131 were hijacked.

The Kyiv military said in an updated statement that Moscow’s forces had lost 22 tanks over the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 7,354. The data was provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which publishes daily estimates of Russian troop and equipment losses.

Estimates of the number of victims vary, with Ukrainian figures generally exceeding Western estimates.
