We remind you that The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has announced that it has dismantled a network of Russian agents who prepared a plan to assassinate President V. Zelensky and other high-ranking persons in the country. During the operation, two officers of the Heads of State Protection Service were detained.

The SBU report states that Russian agents planned to kill V. Zelenskiy, SBU chief Vasilijus Maliukas, intelligence chief Kyryl Budanov, other unnamed representatives of the military and politicians.

According to the Ukrainians, the Russian agents worked for the Fifth Department of the Russian Security Service (FSB). Two colonels of the State Security Board of Ukraine (protection of the country’s leaders) were detained. The Fifth Division of the FSB specializes in activities in Ukraine, Liga reports.
