As Ukrinform reports, this was said on May 8. in decree no. 309/2024.

The document reads: “Release General Valerijas Zalužna from military service due to his health condition while retaining the right to wear a military uniform.”

As announced nv.uaV. Zelenskyi also signed a decree appointing V. Zaluzhna as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.

It is not yet clear when exactly V. Zalužnas will take up the position of ambassador.

Already on March 7 V. Zelenskiy approved V. Zaluzhno’s candidacy for the post of Ukrainian ambassador to the UK.

February 8, 2024 V. Zaluzhn was dismissed from the position of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandrs Syrskis was appointed in his place.

The tension between V. Zelenskiy and V. Zaluzhno came to the fore last November after The Economist’s publication in which the Ukrainian military commander hinted at a stalemate in the war. V. Zelensky did not agree with such general’s remarks about the situation on the battlefield.

“Financial Times”, based on the information of representatives of the Ukrainian army, former employees of the presidential administration and experts in communication strategies, later wrote that the excessively optimistic daily speeches of the Ukrainian president, in which he talks about the achievements of the Ukrainian army, create a gap between the administration of the head of state and the military leadership of the country.
