Lawyers representing the four British women said the case brought against Mr Tate by a victim claim will be heard in the UK’s highest court. Meanwhile, in 2019 The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided not to prosecute him.

According to law firm McCue Jury and Partners, all four women allege Tate assaulted and raped them and are now seeking “pecuniary damages for their injuries.”

Three of the claimants were the subject of an investigation by Hertfordshire Police, north of London, which concluded in 2019.

In a statement, the law firm said that “three of the women who brought the civil action told UK police that in 2014-2015 A. Tate raped them and physically abused them.

After a four-year investigation, Hertfordshire Police referred the case to the CPS for a decision on whether to lay charges. in 2019 The CPS decided not to press charges.

Despite the additional evidence, the CPS has refused to grant the women’s latest requests to review their decision.”

A Romanian court ruled last month that another human trafficking case against the opinion-maker could begin. In this case, he is also accused of sexual assault and organizing a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.

Charges are brought not only against 37-year-old A. Tate, but also against his brother Tristan. Both men were arrested in 2022. near Bucharest in December.

After the trial in Romania, the pair will be extradited to the UK under a European Arrest Warrant obtained by Bedfordshire Police to face further charges of extortion and human trafficking.

These allegations, which both brothers “unequivocally deny”, were first made back in 2012-2015.

In a statement released in March, Bedfordshire Police said that “as part of an investigation into allegations of rape and human trafficking, Bedfordshire Police obtained a European Arrest Warrant for the arrest of two men in their thirties.

We are cooperating with the Romanian authorities during this investigation and will provide updates in due course.”

A spokesperson for Tate Brothers said it “unequivocally denies all allegations” and is “fully and firmly committed to contesting these allegations”.
