“About 200 thousand – that’s how much I’ve spent on my travels at the moment. As a general rule of thumb, multiply 100 countries by 2,000. For some trips, you spend a little less, for others more. I could buy an apartment in Lithuania or a luxury car. But a car is irrelevant to me, I never had one, only a bicycle. I am trying to contact you so that there is an opportunity to purchase a thicker passport in Lithuania, because at the moment there is only a 30-page passport and it is only enough for a couple of years,” Birutė said on the LNK program “Bus visko”.
According to the Belgian Embassy, Birutė was the first Lithuanian woman to visit Guyana, so in order to mark such an important event for her, she proudly unfurled the tricolor of Lithuania at the impressive waterfalls. True, the woman admits that in general she started traveling quite late – after reaching adulthood. Once she finished school and was determined to enter Cambridge, considered a student’s dream, she soon realized her goal and flew to Great Britain. At that time, the first separation from home was difficult – she constantly missed her loved ones and felt like a stranger for the first year in England.
Not all trips to unspoiled lands by tourists become tests of sharp senses. During the trip to Guyana, Birutė entered a paradise that she had never dreamed of. The woman, who always likes to make contact with the locals before traveling to a certain country, did not shy away and says she contacted one of Guyana’s richest oil tycoons – Kads Khan. The latter not only answered Birutė’s letter, but also made sure that his brother showed the travelers the most beautiful places in the country. So as soon as Birutė mentioned the desire to see one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world, the man organized a private plane and organized an impressive excursion.
Birutė’s risky lifestyle hindered her personal life for a long time. The flocks of men who loved extreme sensations and, when necessary, were willing to send her alone on dangerous adventures, never lined up at the door of her house. However, when she least expected it, Birutė, who went to Mexico with her friends during the pandemic, quite unexpectedly met the head of the IT company, French Xavier, who caught her attention.
Beloved also likes adventure and adventures, so they complement each other perfectly with Birute. However, the quarrelsome couple does not avoid and usually conflicts when Birutė sets out alone on dangerous journeys. Because, although they have already traveled to more than 20 countries together, a woman’s lover does not always accompany her to distant lands. Coming from an extremely famous and wealthy family, the man has been mixing the world since childhood, so he does not have the same desire to travel non-stop. The fact that Xavier’s family is truly extraordinary is evidenced by the huge castle they own in France, where, according to custom, all members of the family exchange gold rings with their significant others.
According to Birutė, only after overcoming our fears will we allow ourselves to enjoy real life and new discoveries. In her immediate plans, the hot spots of the world are Yemen, Qatar and Iraq. Sound awkward? Birutė says that she doesn’t think about it at all, because she is not concentrating on her fears, but on inner growth and goal pursuit.
