Moscow renewed its nuclear threats after Washington finally gave Ukraine $61 billion. US dollar aid package and admitted that they have already sent ATACMS missiles, reports the independent portal “Agentstvo”.

The phrase about the reality of a Russian nuclear strike was the first in D.Kiseliov’s program. He uttered it while announcing the main topics of the program. “Will Russia use a nuclear weapon?” The answer is yes, under any conditions?” said the presenter.

As the formal reason for his arguments, D.Kiseliovas indicated April 22. an article published in the journal “Foreign Affairs”. It comments on the French President Emmanuel Macron’s February statement and the March statements of the Finnish Defense Minister and the Polish Foreign Minister about the readiness to send troops to Ukraine. D.Kiseliov also reminded of Washington’s initiative to confiscate Russian assets frozen in the West.

“The Americans are tightening relations to the point of impossibility, and in this context, some in Europe are planning a direct military confrontation with Russia in the expanses of Ukraine,” he added.

Then the presenter of “Rossiya 1” asked himself the “main” question – whether Russia will respond with a nuclear strike, and answered himself: “The answer is unequivocal: it will. The conflict with the West in Ukraine is intensifying so much that it is already a matter of life and death for Russia. And everyone in the West keeps repeating that their goal is to cause us a strategic defeat in Ukraine. <...> If the plot really develops in this direction, Russia will have no other option but to take advantage of it. We cannot retreat, it would be a statehood disaster for ourselves.”

D.Kiseliovas based his arguments on 2024. March. A quote from Vladimir Putin, in which he stated that a defeat in Ukraine would have “catastrophic consequences” for Russian statehood. Then the propagandist reminded 2020. the presidential decree “On the foundations of Russian state policy in the field of nuclear deterrence”, which allows the use of nuclear weapons “when the very existence of the state is threatened”. After that, he gave several quotes from V. Putin about the combat readiness of the country’s strategic weapons and the conditions for their use.

“If the NATO countries enter their troops into Ukraine in order to deal a blow to the strategic defeat of Russia, then the moment will come that V. Putin once said: ‘Why do we need the world if there is no Russia in it?'” Then everything and everywhere will be blocked from us. <...> America’s decision-making centers are already in the crosshairs. France as a nuclear power will simply have to be disarmed, the British Isles will simply be under water, the technology is there. But it is better not to lead to that, and this is not propaganda,” the propagandist emphasized.

Speaking about the consequences of Russia’s use of nuclear weapons for the United States, D.Kiseliov recalled his own 2014 a video about the “radioactive ash” that Russia says could turn America into something. “Guaranteed retribution is inevitable. There is no need to push Russia into a corner,” he concluded.

Although D.Kiseliov only links his arguments to the “Foreign Affairs” article and the US initiative to confiscate Russian assets, according to the journalists of the “Agentstvo” portal, it is hard not to notice that the Russian presenter’s column appeared in a week when there were much more serious events that could affect the war Progress in Ukraine.

On Wednesday, Joe Biden signed a bill that allocates 61 billion US dollars to Ukraine. This money will allow Ukraine to maintain its position until 2024. and “will destroy Putin’s belief that time is on his side,” said CIA chief William Burns.

Also last week, Washington admitted that it had provided ATACMS missiles with a range of 300 km to the Ukrainian armed forces.

The West is gradually getting used to and reacting more calmly to Russian propaganda claims and arming the Ukrainian forces more heavily. Increasingly, Western politicians are paying attention to the need to increase defense budgets and be ready to respond to Russian aggression.
