Emily (name known to the editors) was interested in TECHNIQUE products and found this:

“TECHNIQUE Balje” restorative mask (1000ml) costs EUR 49.90 in the “Shop by Viktorija Siegel” online store, while the exact same one on the Italian website profumeria3pnew.it costs EUR 3.51. The difference is more than 14 times.

“TECHNIQUE” hair protection – OIL NON OIL BALJE (250ml) at Viktorija Siegel e-mail in the store it costs 17.90 euros, exactly the same on the same Italian website profumeria3pnew.it – 5.86 euros. The difference is 3 times.

“I really wonder how to understand such price gaps, which store to trust, how to check?” Who basically checks what and how much the goods are sold for, or who wants what, does what? For example, the representatives of the Siegel store may tell me that it is counterfeited there, but maybe it is also counterfeited at her place? How do I know that she is not buying from the same website and reselling it as the original. Nobody wants to be cheated. Another big question mark, I can’t find these exact products on the official TECHNIQUE page, so the question is, where are they from? Are there any remains here or were they never there at all?”, asks Emilė.

The store representatives commented

After inquiring about the situation from the representatives of the Shop by Viktorija Siegel store, the following answer was received:

“We cannot comment on the product price of electronic stores in other countries, because we do not know whether the aforementioned electronic store is genuine at all, whether it sells truly original products, what is the composition of the product, its quality, what are the contractual conditions with the product manufacturer, etc. In our online store, we sell only exclusive, original products, the range of which we are constantly expanding. As you probably know, the price is determined by many factors – the cost of purchasing the product, shipping costs, other incurred costs, etc.

The e-shop of V. Siegel, a well-known opinion maker, mainly sells cosmetics and beauty products: hair products, skin products, perfumes, etc. According to the data of Rekvizitai.vz.lt, the annual sales revenue of the store in 2021 amounted to EUR 6,861,564, and the net profit in that year amounted to EUR 1,370,875.
