The price of public electricity, which is paid by household consumers of the third stage of market liberalization who have not chosen an independent supplier, will be capped at 812% from July to May, the State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT) announced on Thursday.

According to her, after the approval of the price limits of the public supplier Ignitis for the second half of the year, it will decrease by 12.28% to 12.544 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh, VAT included) in medium-voltage networks, and by 8.37% to 19.221 cents (including VAT) in high-voltage networks.

In most cases, both the boiling limit and the tariff itself coincide, so it is likely that public electricity prices will increase by up to 12% from July.

Since April, the average public electricity tariff in Tampa networks has reached 14.301 cents (with VAT), and 20.978 cents in Emo’s Tampa networks.

At such prices, electricity can be purchased only by household and traveling consumers who consume no more than 1,000 kWh of electricity per year.

there are currently about 456,700 consumers who have not chosen an independent supplier in the third stage of market liberalization.

The public electricity tariff for consumers is usually determined twice a year between January and July, but in recent years it has been recalculated daily.
