The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel group goods and services decreased by 4.2 percent. The prices of natural gas (27.1%), thermal energy (8.6%), liquefied gas for cooking (7.3%), electricity (1.9%) decreased the most, but housing maintenance and repair services (0.5 percent) prices.
At that time, prices of consumer goods and services administered by the State and municipal institutions decreased by 3.3 percent, market prices increased by 0.6 percent.
The agency notes that in 2024 in April, compared to March, the prices of clothes and footwear increased by 3.4 percent due to the new spring and summer season collections. Clothes rose in price by 3.9 percent, footwear by 3 percent, cleaning of clothes by 1 percent.
The prices of food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.3 percent. Fruit and vegetable juices, flour, smoked sausages, chocolate and cocoa-based desserts, canned and prepared vegetables, sugar went up in price the most, but edible ice cream, fresh and chilled seafood, nuts, frozen fish, bread, edible offal went down in price.
The prices of some fresh fruits and vegetables also changed: the prices of lemons, late potatoes, sweet peppers, tomatoes, and Chinese cabbage increased, but the prices of mangoes, long-fruited cucumbers, avocados, broccoli, and grapes decreased.
Annual inflation amounted to 0.1 percent.
