The Spanish La Liga champions for the 2023-2024 season have been announced.
Girona’s victory over Barcelona brought the title to Real Madrid. “Girona” twice erased the lead of the opponents at home and finally celebrated the victory 4:2.
Both teams exchanged goals very quickly. Barcelona were ahead in the third minute after Andreas Christensen’s successful attack, but Artemas Dovbykas equalized just a minute later.
At the end of the first half, in added time, a penalty was awarded to Robert Lewandowski to give Barcelona the lead for the second time in the game.
The course of the match was changed by the substitution of “Girona” in the 65th minute. As soon as he appeared on the field, Porto helped to realize Barcelona’s mistake, equalizing the result. Not only that, he assisted Miguel Gutierrez two minutes later, and he had a double in less than 10 minutes.
This defeat meant that Barcelona lost the chance to catch up with Real. The Madrid club secured the title with four rounds left in the championship.
For the “Girona” team, this triumph led to entry into the next season’s Champions League.
