From elastic for the daughter to the first collection

According to the creator, “Melruga” was born unexpectedly – it was enough to sew the first elastic bands for her youngest daughter, which, as she says, she still keeps as a precious memory and a priceless symbol. It was then that Vaida’s creative path began. The woman sewed more clothing models and started selling them on social networks.

“My goal has always been and is for my children to wear comfortable, high-quality, non-disposable clothes first. Having achieved this, today I carefully make sure that other parents also dress their children in comfortable, high-quality clothes. I think about every model of clothing down to the smallest detail, and my children usually become the first testers. I don’t send a single order to a customer if I am not guaranteed that the work is done as it should be,” says Vaida.

Considering her mission, the designer always adapts to customer requirements, fabrics and other needs from the beginning of Melruga’s existence, so that the clothes fit and appeal to the child. After all, babies, like adults, are personalities.

“Today’s children are already born with character. The older one had to be convinced for a long time that not only pink suits her, but the little one, at just one year old, already boldly expressed her wishes when choosing clothes for the new day. You can’t dress children in anything these days, so it’s often especially gratifying when individually tailored “Melruga” clothes not only fit the children, but they also like them,” says Vaida.

According to the creator, the most important thing is not to be afraid to experiment with both models and colors. With imagination, the stereotypes of pink for girls and blue for boys can disappear.

The range includes not only comfortable casual clothes

“Melruga” range does not only boast an abundance of high-quality children’s clothing for leisure time. The Vaidas brand is also famous for its extraordinary series of Lithuanian products, which, as she says, appeared a long time ago – 6 years ago. However, it has not lost its popularity until today.

“6 years ago, I sewed the first tricolor dress on the occasion of February 16th. I sewed carefully, sizing up my daughter to fit her at worst. After sewing it, I was surprised – it attracted extraordinary interest. Until today, the dresses and jumpers of the Lithuanian series are real record holders of orders,” says the creator.

Although Melruga receives the most orders for the Lithuanian clothing series before the holidays, they are not only worn during them. The clothes of the brand’s Lithuanian clothing series can be worn at any time, for example, when supporting the players of your favorite sports team.

“Regarding the Lithuanian clothing collection, I am very happy that these Melruga products with Lithuanian attributes are increasingly traveling outside Lithuania. The “fruits” of the collection also reach compatriots living in America,” Vaida is proud.

Adapt to the needs of each customer

From the very beginning of Melruga’s life, Vaida had a mission – to sew for a specific child instead of mass production. This woman is doing great, but she doesn’t deny that in order to fulfill all the orders on time, she has to do a lot of hustling and haggling.

“The biggest, most important, but sometimes also the most difficult task every day is the implementation of priorities and urgent, unexpected orders. My mission is to help “life-affected” mothers, so I have to plan a lot so that every, even the most urgent, order reaches every customer,” says Vaida.

Not to give up at such moments, the entrepreneur is always encouraged by “residual creative phenomena” – impeccable feedback and loyalty. This is the engine of Vaida’s energy and passion.

“It’s great to receive messages and photos of children with my products from customers. It’s always heartwarming. I am happy when parents allow me to share it on my account. Also, I am especially happy with loyal customers whose children grow up with Melruga. This is the highest rating that shows confidence and allows me to improvise more with one or another of their future purchases,” says Vaida.

Although Melruga clothes grow brothers, sisters, cousins ​​and even neighbors, according to the creator, the brand’s clothes can be said to grow whole generations, handed down because they are long-lasting and made with great love and dedication.
