In just two weeks, the Eurovision paths took the representative of our country to Spain, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. A little earlier, Silvestras traveled to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, to present Luktelk, and the very last highlight of the season of presentation to Europeans will take place on May 4. in Copenhagen, on the eve of the Eurovision opening ceremony. It is true that the Lithuanian Eurovision team will be able to step on the big stage in Malmö for the first time before then, as the rehearsals will start at the end of April.

The entire tour period was accompanied not only by performances on various stages, but also by intensive communication with media representatives, other participants of this year’s contest and fans just met on the street. In order to convey to his fans the mood of the trips, the artist shared their fragments on his social networks.

“This time passed like a snap of the fingers, there was no time to hesitate,” Silvestras laughs and admits that this Eurovision experience is even greater than he could have imagined. However, the fatigue from being in constant motion is overshadowed by good memories and focus as the main start in Malmö approaches.

Perhaps one of the funnest parts of the Eurovision parties is the opportunity to meet and chat with performers representing other countries, from whom Silvestras is getting a lot of attention this year. It turns out that recently met participants even have a common messaging group where they keep in touch. The cheerful mood behind the scenes is also reflected in the videos.

During the introduction tour, Sylvester made friends with Nemo from Switzerland, who is currently leading the bookies’ predictions.

Between performances, the singer representing Lithuania also spent a lot of time with one of the most widely known participants of this year – the former vocalist and leader of the group “Years & Years” Olly Alexander, who is starting a solo career. The performer who already performed with the group in Lithuania five years ago is carrying the flag of the United Kingdom to Sweden this year.

Other friends are Luna from neighboring Poland, Bambie Thug from Ireland, Croatian hope Baby Lasagna. There are many participants, new acquaintances as well. As Silvestras says, he hasn’t been able to capture everyone yet, but he hopes that he will be able to fix that in Malmö.

Not only the Eurovision colleagues, but also the foreign Lithuanian communities we met, shone during the Pleasant Surprises tour. Here in Amsterdam, over a hundred students gathered for a meeting with Silvestre, and in London, against the backdrop of an impressive panorama, the artist was warmly received by the team of the Lithuanian Embassy.

“It seems that I didn’t spend so much time traveling, but everywhere I was welcomed like at home. I am extremely grateful for the great support I feel from Lithuanians both in Lithuania and abroad. It inspires to strive for the best,” says Silvester Belt.

Filming, interviews, meetings accompanied the representative of Lithuania for several weeks. At the same time, Silvestro’s hit “Rush” performed by Troye Sivan, one of his biggest inspirations, appeared on the official Eurovision channels. Already today, listeners will be able to hear the unexpected sounding version of “Luktelk” – a special performance recorded with the Lithuanian Symphony Brass Orchestra.

“The organizers of this year’s Eurovision invited us to record an alternative version of the song. As soon as I heard this, the word “orchestra” immediately came to my mind. I’m glad that we did exactly that,” says the artist about the creation of the orchestral version.

However, now all the attention of the team is focused on the last rehearsals before the marathon of Eurovision weeks, other details of the show and packing the suitcases. There is not much left to wait – although the first semi-final, in which Lithuania will appear, will take place on May 7, rehearsals in the Malmö Arena will start already this week.
