Kaunas “Zalgiris” team lures an American who plays for Istanbul “Besiktas” to their ranks.

The Turkish news portal “Sports Digitale” announces that the Lithuanian champions are negotiating with the 25-year-old 199 cm tall Matthew Mitchell.

The American arrived in Europe in 2021 and spent two seasons in the ranks of Strasbourg SIG. Last year, he signed a contract with Beşiktaş and made a solid debut in the European Cup.

In this tournament, he scored 12.5 points, rebounded 4.9 balls and collected 11.8 utility points in 28 minutes, and made 39.5% of three-pointers. (17/43) accuracy.

In the Turkish league, M. Mitchell’s statistics reach 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 10.5 utility points in 26 minutes.
