Kendrick Nunn had a fantastic run with Maccabi Tel Aviv, including a decisive game five, and signed a new contract on Wednesday.

As journalist Chema de Lucas announced yesterday, immediately after the winning match, the 28-year-old American should stay in Athens for another two years – until the summer of 2026.

It is true that the Panathinaikos club itself, announcing the happy news from the office of the club’s owner Dimitrios Giannakopoulos, added that the basketball player retained the possibility of leaving for the NBA.

The basketball player’s earnings have not yet been announced, but even before the contract extension, K. Nunn was one of the best-paid basketball players in the Euroleague.

According to different reports, his previous salary was 1.5-2 million. US dollars, and now the Greek media is trumpeting a salary increase.

The defender, who is only playing his first season in Europe, quickly became a dominant force in the strongest club basketball tournament of the Old Continent.

He simply shined in the quarterfinal series against Maccabi Tel Aviv, scoring 26 points on 6-of-10 three-pointers in the decisive game.

He averaged 19.2 points and 16.8 assists in the quarterfinal series with Maccabi, and 15.9 points and 11.8 assists in his debut season in the EuroLeague.

During the season, Panathinaikos management also handed a new contract to Maris Grigonis, committing to the Lithuanian for three years.
