In a series full of intrigue, emotions and behind-the-scenes passions, after four clashes there is a complete tie – 2:2, so the team that wins tonight will also win a ticket to Berlin, where the semifinals and finals of the tournament will be held on May 24-26.

One of the five Lithuanian basketball players who reached the quarter-finals has already been eliminated. The former was unlucky for captain Tad Sedekerski, who went down dry 0-3 with Vitoria Baskonia against reigning champions and regular season winners Real Madrid’s men.

The hopes of four other Lithuanians – Mariaus Grigonis (Panathinaikos), Donatas Motiejūnas (Monaco), Rokos Jokubaitis (Barcelona) and Ignos Brazdeikis (Olympiakos Piraeus) – are still alive.

M. Grigonis will meet his fate on Tuesday, whose PAO will face Maccabi in a decisive match. Marius will become either the first from our team to make it to the final four, or the second to end his journey in the quarter-finals.

During the heated series, the students of the coach Ergins Atamans, who spoke more than once (promised to leave Athens if they did not advance to the next stage, also publicly scolded the referees and advocated the return of Russian clubs) and even received sanctions from the Euroleague, fell behind twice – 0-1 and 1-2. however, without the injured attack leader, the remaining Maccabi forces have been unable to get things going in Belgrade, where they are temporarily holed up as Israel’s war with Hamas terrorists continues.
