This week, it became clear that veteran Marco Reus will no longer play for Borussia Dortmund next season.
The 34-year-old German will become a free agent at the end of his contract and could leave for the MLS premiership.
With the end of the season inexorably approaching, Reus and Borussia fans shared a message in which the player said goodbye to the fans.
“I am very grateful and proud of the period of my career spent at Dortmund.
I spent more than half of my life here (it belonged to the youth system from 1996 to 2006 – author’s post) and I enjoyed every day, although of course there were difficult moments.
I already know how hard it is to say goodbye at the end of the season and I’m happy that all doubts are finally dispelled. Now we have set important goals that we want to achieve.
So, it will take the contribution of each and every one of our incredible group of supporters, who, by the way, I want to express my thanks for that incredible support over many years”, said M. Reus.
