All the participants of the RKL A division final four are clear

On April 27, all participants of the Nostra.lt-RKL A division final four were announced.

The biggest sensation in the quarter-finals was provided by “Tauragė”, which is away 74:72 (11:17, 19:16, 18:22, 17:10, 9:7) knocked down the winners of the regular season – Kaunas district. “Omega-Tauras” basketball players.

Tauragiški won the dramatic series 3:2.

“Tauragė”, which took the 8th place in the season, started the series with two victories in a row. However, Omega-Tauras, considered favorites, recovered and moved the series to the decisive match.

The home team was in front for almost the entire meeting, but Tauragiški managed to straighten up and tied the score 25 seconds before the end of the fourth quarter (65:65).

The guests still had a chance to win in the main time. Ervinas Černis intercepted the ball, but he cut into the opponent in the penalty area and earned a foul in the attack. In the remaining few seconds, Omega-Tauras did not score points and this thriller was going to overtime.

“Tauragė” successfully started the extension. Gvidas Galinauskas scored four points, and Justas Vazalis stabbed a painful three-pointer into the home team’s basket (72:66).

Omega-Tauras managed to reduce the deficit. With 29 seconds left, Vidmantas Uzkuraitis hit one of two free throws and only 2 points separated the teams (72:74).

The Tauragis could not create a shot during their attack and they left the last four seconds of the game to the hosts.

However, Tomas Galeckas made a mistake when passing the ball, which led to the dramatic triumph of “Tauragė” in the series.

Redas Jakubauskas scored 18 points, Gvidas Galinauskas scored 16, Ervinas Černis and Justas Vazalis added 9 points each.

“Omega-Tauras” did not save 17 points of Edvinas Jezukevičius, Vidmantas Užkuraitis scored 12, Gytis Brazauskas added 11 points.

In the semi-finals, “Tauragė” will face the challenge of the hosts. Kėdainiai sports center is away 83:69 (15:14, 20:18, 23:17, 25:20) surpassed the basketball players of Kaunas “Zalgirio-3”.

Paulius Gvazdaitis scored 16 points for Mačiūņu-KKSC, Domantas Šeškus scored 15, Adams Stančikas added 11 points.
