The Red Bull team will lose one of the best Formula 1 engineers of all time.

The journalist of the German “AMuS” daily, Tobi Gruner, announces that Adrian Newey will leave the Red Bull team.

A. Newey will announce this news officially in the near future.

According to AMuS, the experienced engineer has recently been unhappy with the power struggle that has been taking place at the Red Bull team. The reserved specialist also did not want to work solely on the RB17 hypercar project.

A. Newey still associates his future with Formula-1. Meanwhile, the “bulls” were thinking of pushing him only to the “RB 17” project, which is not related to “Formula-1”.

At the start of this season, there were reports in the media that Ferrari and Aston Martin were in the hunt for the 65-year-old specialist. This was also confirmed by AMuS sources.

T. Gruner claims that A. Newey visited Bologna at least once, where a meeting with Ferrari executives was supposed to take place.

Aston Martin’s interest is also real. This team could be favorable for the British because of its base in England, because then the British would not have to change the country of residence. True, he did not work live with Red Bull all the time, making his plans from his second home in the Republic of South Africa.

In addition to Red Bull, A. Newey worked in the Leyton House, Williams and McLaren teams during his career, where he created more than one winning Formula 1 car. The engineer worked for the Red Bull team from the very first moments – in 2006.
