The players and coaches of the Sosnowiec “Zaglebie” football club, which is fighting in the second Polish football league, received an outcry from the fans – the club’s ultras broke into the training on Wednesday and beat not only several football players, but also the team’s strategist Aleksandar Chackevičius.
This happened after Tuesday’s match against the Katowice GKS club, which the Sosnoviec team lost 0:4 and is in the last 18th place in the tournament.
The club has just 13 points in 25 rounds and is eight points behind Pozbezkidzie of Belsko-Biala, which occupies the penultimate position.
The incident was reported by the portal meczyki.pl. The beating of the team members took place on Wednesday, April 3, when a group of football hooligans stormed into training for a “serious talk” with the players.
The conversation that was supposed to take place was not limited to words, so the fans started to “teach” the football players with their fists.
It happened to the coach of Belarus, who in his time coached the Dynamo Kyiv team of Ukraine and the Belarusian national team – he was punched in the face and kicked several times in the body.
“Beating a person is a pathology. We can put an end to that. We are talking about a hooligan act, not about the coach’s desperate performance in Katowice,” the portal’s journalists commented on the scandal. The club also confirmed the fight.
So far, nothing is known about the consequences of the attack on the famous coach. A. Chackevičius started managing the “Zaglebie” team in January of this year.
The team under his leadership played six matches in which they managed to win only two draws and scored only one goal.
Before that, A. Chackevičius worked briefly in Russia and called it the main mistake of his coaching career.
