Northern lights are a great rarity in our region. The northern lights are mostly visible in polar latitudes. However, the weather is more and more pleasing to Lithuanians and already this night it will be possible to see the Northern Lights in Lithuania.
The northern lights can be seen over Lithuania due to the eruption of solar plasma particles that cause a geomagnetic storm. During the phenomenon, the Aurora Borealis is formed, attracting the attention of curious people and photographers.
According to the weather forecast, the aurora will be best seen on the night of March 25. from midnight and 6 a.m.
Lithuanians already enjoyed this special phenomenon last night and shared photos.
