According to CEC data, without collecting 10 thousand voters’ signatures, the Lithuanian People’s Party and the political party “Lithuvos Lissara” will not be able to nominate their candidates for the EP elections.

The necessary signatures collected by the remaining parties that needed to cross the electoral threshold will still be verified. The final number of collected signatures will be known when the CEC checks them within 10 days.

In order to participate in the EP elections, signatures were collected by the Democratic Union “Vardan Lietuvos”, the Christian Union, the Freedom Party, the Lithuanian Christian Democracy Party, the Lithuanian Polish Election Action-Union of Christian Families, the Lithuanian People’s Party, National Unity, the political party “Lithuanian List” and the Žemaičių Party .

The Labor Party, the Freedom Party, the Liberal Movement, the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, the Lithuanian Peasants and Greens Union, the Lithuanian Greens Party, the Freedom and Justice Party, the Nation and Justice Union and the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats are also registered to participate in the EP elections.

It is reminded that the EP elections will be held on June 9.
