The reader who informed the news portal “What’s happening in Kaunas” about the strike organized by the students said that the children hung up posters in all the school spaces, which showed questions addressed to E. Vaitkas in bright red letters.
“Why are you here and not at the victory parade, Vaitkau?” Crimea – Ruzzijos, Vilnius – Poland? what birds the taste of the buns?” – such and similar questions can be seen on the students’ posters.
It is true that a little later photos were shared that the posters were being mercilessly tried to get rid of. Presumably, they are trying to remove the “traces” of the strike before the presidential candidate arrives at the gymnasium.
“I am attaching photos of how the Vaitkaus electorate is ripping off posters made by children,” the reader wrote.
The representatives of the school administration told the interested parties that E. Vaitkaus’ visit to the gymnasium is legal. Allegedly, the hall for the meeting was rented through an open rental system, which can be used by anyone who wants to.
According to representatives of the gymnasium, the school’s hands are tied for the cancellation of the meeting. It is believed that no one has the right to cancel the meeting, to prohibit the use of the hall, because, according to representatives of the school administration, E. Vaitkus will not work with children.
The reader reported to the news portal on Thursday evening that the meeting took place despite the students’ strike.
“Everything happened. The children made all kinds of posters, and they came and tore everything down and that meeting took place.
The children installed the lighting on the stage so that it was blue-yellow (the colors of the Ukrainian flag), and they did not know how to turn it off, so Vaitkus conducted his entire meeting against the background of the colors of the Ukrainian flag,” said the reader of the portal.
“I am adding information about the meeting of E. Vaitkaus with the voters that took place at the Basanavičius Gymnasium. I myself am a student of this school, I contributed to the organization of this protest, I asked questions to the candidate in the hall. Only when Vaitkas arrived at the gymnasium, we had a short conversation with him.
I announced that I would like to ask him questions. When communicating with Vaitkum up close, I smelled a rather strong smell of alcohol coming from him. Or ate sweets with liquor, or drank a little alcoholic beverages “on the dare”. I also want to add that the gathered voters of E. Vaitkaus were, to put it mildly, inadequate. While I was asking questions, I was interrupted by people sitting in the hall, several times by Vaitkaus himself, and I was not given the opportunity to complete some questions. At one point, there were even uncensored retorts of people from the side “Go you, stupidWho wrote the questions? Grybauskaitė or Šimonytė?” – a reader of the portal who introduced himself as a student of J. Basanavičius high school shared the information.
