Panevezys residents are invited to celebrate the International Red Cross Day at a charity event

On May 8, the Lithuanian Red Cross organizes an event to celebrate International Red Cross Day. The event, which will be held at the “Vasaris” restaurant, will collect targeted funds for the humanitarian aid number 111.

Linas Kakarieka, head of the Panevėžys region of the Lithuanian Red Cross, invites you to warmly celebrate the International Red Cross Day and join the event of art and generosity.

“Event venue – restaurant “Vasaris”, Aukštaičių st. 88, in Panevėžys. The support evening will be held on May 8. It starts at 6 p.m. Please arrive at the event 30 minutes before its start. The duration of the support evening is 3 hours, and the ticket price is 45 euros,” explained L. Kakrieka.

According to the Panevėžys region manager of LRK, since October, LRK introduced a free humanitarian aid number 111, by calling which people in distress or in need can receive the necessary humanitarian aid.

“LRK conducts a survey of the municipalities and according to that survey, there are more than 20 thousand in the Panevėžys region. population belonging to a vulnerable group. In half a year, since the introduction of the humanitarian line 111, we provided assistance to more than 300 people in the Panevėžys region. Therefore, the purpose of this event is to collect funds and allocate them to the residents of the Panevėžys region who call the helpline”, explained L. Kakarieka and said that by participating in the event, you can contribute to good works.
