After the concerts of the 19th traveling arts festival “Gražiausiu taku” in other cities, the Guboja ensemble (longtime leader Aleksandra Žiedelienė) and professional music performer Lijana Žiedelytė prepared the program “Alyva žudes” for Kaunas art fans.

The cheerful program of songs performed by “Guboya” was diversified by the dancers of “Sūkurios” (director J. and Č. Norvaišos, trainer S. Kniazevičiūtė), the ballerinas of the studio “Petite danse” (director A. Masalkina) and the young singers of “Saulutė”. Everyone was especially pleased by the duet of the “gubo girl” Nijolė Biliūnienė and her 5-year-old granddaughter Radvilė, who came from Alytus.

Instrumental music is always included in the program repertoire of the arts festival “Grăžiausiu taku”. This time, L. Žiedelytė presented romantic and virtuosic violin music pieces to the listeners of the temporary capital. A special highlight of the program was the performance of the legendary Latvian Maestro Raimonds Pauls. Lijana has been friends with the composer for more than ten years, who has repeatedly been the patron of the festival “Graiausiu taku”. That evening, as usual, Lijana perfectly, organically and creatively performed the duties of the concert host and director.

The joyous highlight of the celebration was the braid of songs by opera soloist Liudas Mikalauskas. The festival’s stages aim to combine performances by amateurs and professionals and performers of various ages. On that day, warm applause accompanied the song “Edelveis” from the musical “Sounds of Music” by the duo L. Mikalauskas and the long-time soloist of “Guboja” Valentina Pečiulionienė. The song “Kalnai ant kalma”, which the soloist enthusiastically sang with the singers of the “Gubojos” ensemble, was also appreciated with thunderous applause.

At the end of the concert, Virginijas Butkienė, a long-time member of this group, performed the solo piece “Give flowers to women”, sung many times with the popular Aleks Leman. The song “Ugnelė gęsta” written by P. Širvis and dedicated to the memory of aa Viktor Malinauskas sounded sensitively. For many years, V. Malinauskas cooperated with the collective “Gubaja”. With Lijana Žiedelyte, he toured Lithuania with a duet program, with the State Wind Orchestra “Trimitas” he prepared a bouquet of songs by A. Raudonikis. Maestro Viktoras and Lijana also worked in the prestigious “Star Quartet”.

Honorable guests participated in the celebration “The Most Beautiful Path” held in Kaunas. The festival organizers honored Jolita Jablonskienė (Birštonas), Neringa Butkienė, Donatas Latkauskas and Gediminas Vasiliauskas (Kaunas). Performers, spectators and guests, united in a common wreath of friendship, said goodbye to the people of Kaunas with a resounding song, whose memories will be echoed for a long time: “So that no one touches our sky, so that the flowers of our garden do not bloom…” The celebration, which took place under the vaults of the Lithuanian Chamber of Agriculture – this is another step in the 20th anniversary tour of the festival “The Most Beautiful Path”. Let the song help to drive away gloomy thoughts, and the oils of your heart will bloom.
