The average salary is calculated based on the salary data of the employees who worked in the company for the entire calendar month.

Periodically increasing the base salary also helps the company to maintain its leading positions. For the third year in a row, Lidl Lietuva is allocating even more money to the salary budget, and from January 1 of this year. the wages of all store and logistics center employees rose on average by 4-9 percent.

“Comprehensive concern for the well-being of employees and ensuring financial security are one of our most important strategic directions. Financial stability is ensured not only by a competitive salary in the retail trade sector, but also by a gradual salary increase system – employees of Lidl Lietuva stores and logistics centers know from the first day of work how their salary will increase in the next few years,” says Lidl Lietuva. Sandra Savickienė, member of the board and head of personnel.

Additional financial benefits

In order for the employees to feel financially stable, the company, chosen as the best employer in Lithuania and Europe for the sixth year in a row, not only offers a competitive salary, but also other additional financial benefits that promote stability.

“We constantly invest in the financial stability of our employees – along with regularly increasing salaries, all employees also receive Lidl cards, which can be used to purchase various goods at any network store operating in Lithuania. Seeing that the employees highly value it, we continue this initiative,” asserts S. Savickienė.

Taking care of the financial well-being of the employees, the company also provides an opportunity to earn extra money – last summer, an incentive program was launched for employees completing orders in the logistics center. In addition to a competitive base salary, successful employees receive monthly bonuses after achieving their goals.

“Logistics employees perform a very important job in ensuring the efficient operation of stores, so we motivate our colleagues working in the logistics center to achieve the best possible results and thus earn an additional supplement to their salary.” Depending on the results achieved, the bonus can reach around 300 euros,” says the Lidl Lietuva board member and HR manager.

Attention to the well-being of employees and their relatives

In addition to ensuring financial stability, Lidl Lietuva fully takes care of the well-being of employees and their relatives. For the sixth year in a row, the company insures all employees with private health insurance after the trial period. It also provides free flu vaccination for all team members and their children under the age of 14, and provides them with vitamin kits during the cold season.

“We try to ensure that the employees of the Lidl shopping network receive all the health care they need, so we also pay great attention to the emotional health of the team members. Employees are given the opportunity to visit ten psychotherapy sessions per year by a doctor-psychotherapist or a psychologist-psychotherapist free of charge. Also, the company’s employees and their family members can take advantage of the initiative “You can count on us!” and receive professional anonymous consultations on financial, legal or personal issues,” says S. Savickienė.

In addition, the company fosters cooperation between the team, therefore, every year it organizes various competitions, joint events, the most popular is the family holiday, in which not only employees, but also their children can participate.
