In 2024, as in previous years, museums under the Ministry of Culture invite visitors to view their permanent exhibitions for free every last Sunday of the month. Visitors will also be welcomed by the Kernavė Archaeological Site Museum and the Vilnius City Museum. In February, the museums will open – already today, April 27.

Last year, the national and state museums under the Ministry of Culture and the museum of the Kernavė archaeological site received 510,714 visitors during the free last Sundays of the months. This is 1.5 times more than in 2022.

The three national museums in Vilnius remained the most popular museums, and the growth in the number of visitors can also be attributed to the exhibitions dedicated to the capital’s 700th anniversary.
