When they failed to raid the counterfeit money, they tried to steal the goods

--

Thanks to the brave little shop assistant in the bedroom block and the prompt response of the officers, two young men were arrested in the city of Kėdainiai on Wednesday afternoon.

Tried to invade a fake hundred

After 3 p.m., two young men entered a small shop located in an apartment building on Chemikė Street. They picked out a full shopping bag. When it was time to pay, one of them handed the seller a rolled-up hundred-euro bill.

After unwrapping the money, the woman realized that it was fake.

A conflict occurred in the store – young people tried to take out the goods, argued with the seller, but she snatched the shopping bag from their hands and immediately called the General Assistance Center. While the woman was on the phone, the suspects left.

The suspects were promptly arrested

Police officers rushed to the scene. They were greatly helped by the fact that the saleswoman remembered the faces and clothes of the young people, told a lot of details, indicated the direction in which the suspects left.

Officers soon spotted a group of suspicious youths in the same area. Two young men matched the characteristics indicated by the seller, so they were detained. When the suspects were brought to the store, the saleswoman recognized them.

It seems that the young men have properly boiled porridge. They will have to answer not only for trying to sell counterfeit money, but also for attempting to steal goods.
