Dainius Kreivys, Minister of Energy, says that in 2030 the final price of electricity for Lithuanian consumers should reach about 17 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).

According to the minister, the price range of 5.56.5 ct calculated by the US National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) announced by him earlier is the tariff without distribution and transmission.

The price of electricity is really consistently moving down. Forecasts are such that around 2030 The price of electricity in the country, which has been modeled by NREL, without distribution and transmission should be between 5565 Euros per megawatt hour, which is 56 cents per kWh, D. Kreivys spoke at the Seimas session on Tuesday.

Average price in 2030 with the distribution tariff, it should be about 17 cents per kWh, according to the Minister of Energy.

Last week, the wholesale price of electricity in Lithuania reached 78 EUR per MWh, or 7.8 cents per kWh. At that time last year, the average wholesale price was EUR 94 per MWh without distribution and transmission tariffs. In comparison, in 2022 it reached 230 EUR per MWh

According to the data of the Lithuanian Energy Agency, the average price of a 24-month fixed-price plan for one time zone for independent suppliers reached 25.2 cents per kWh on Tuesday, and 25.1 cents for a 12-month plan.
