In the TOPsport A League, four matches of the 10th round will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday. The match between “Panevėžys” and Telšiai “Džiugo” will be postponed to a reserve date due to the heavy snow that fell in Panevėžys and the unsuitable quality of the lawn.

FA “Šiauliai” – Marijampolė “Sūduva”. On April 23, at 7 p.m. Šiauliai, “Gytariu” stadium. Previous match: 0:0.

In the city of Saules, the neighbors of the tournament table will face each other on Tuesday.

Mindaugas Čep’s army once again showed their character in front of their fans and defeated Alytus DFK “Dainava” in the last minutes after an ordinary scored goal. The Šiauliai team ranks seventh with 10 points, but if they win one more time, they would jump to the 4th position before Wednesday’s matches. The disqualified Rolandas Baravykas will not play in the ranks of FA “Šiauliai”, we haven’t seen Martynas Dapkaus and Vytas Gašpuitis in the defense for some time. The people of Marijampole have not yet enjoyed a victory against their future opponent away from home.

“Sūduva” suffered four defeats in the last six matches. Some results against direct competitors led to the fact that Dovydas Lastauskas army has 9 points and is in eighth place. Despite the loss to Kaunas Žalgiri, the Suduvians showed a good game and saw the return of several key players to the lineup. In addition, the defense chain was filled with the Latvian Klavas Kramens. Both teams lacked stability in the first round, so predicting the outcome of this match is very difficult.

“TransINVEST” of Vilnius district – “Hegelmann” of Kaunas district. On April 24, at 6 p.m. Širvintos, Širvintos City Stadium. Previous match: 3:2.

The blue and whites will seek revenge on their opponents for the failure in the first round.

“TransINVEST” football players, as not the first time this year, manage not to return “dry” from the rival stadiums, although the forecasts were not so positive. All 7 points were won away from home, in turn, all defeats were experienced at home and not a single goal was scored. If this trend is changed, one can expect a rise in the standings – currently the debutants are the last. After a break of more than a year, a goal scored for Gusts Jarusevicis can become a burst of motivation.

Hegelmann’s team took points from all the grands of last season, winning as many as three matches in those matches. However, in other meetings, it was not possible to justify the status of favorite, a great example of this is the last draw with Gargždas “Banga”. A solid attack with 16 scored goals allows the Kaunas district team to line up in second place, but a worse section would quickly push them down. If the blue and whites achieve the revenge, the upcoming four clashes with the giants would be welcomed in a very grateful position.

Kaunas Žalgiris – Gargždas Banga. On April 24, at 7 p.m. Kaunas, Darius and Girėnos Stadium. Previous match: 1:1.

Žalgiris have a good chance to even climb to the top three.

With Nerijus Mačiulis at the helm again, Kauno Žalgiris won three consecutive victories, all of which were achieved in front of their fans. In the second round, the situation will be more complicated – the Kaunas will play just two times at the Darius and Girėnas stadiums. “Kaunas Žalgiri” is only 2 points short of the top three, although Filipas Dangubičius has never been more serious about himself. Armandas Kučys and Artūras Dolžnikovas form a formidable duo – the duo scored most of the team’s goals.

Gargždiškis, after rejecting the match against Vilnius “Žalgiris”, made a steady progress in the first round. It is surprising that David Afonso’s army has not suffered a single away defeat so far and is playing successfully there. Veteran Robertas Vėževičius has been unable to help his team for almost a month, but Valdas Paulauskas, who scored a goal in two consecutive matches, is replacing him perfectly. The ranks of “Banga” are getting more and more full, this time the midfielder Justinas Januševskis will return after suspension.

Vilnius “Žalgiris” – Alytus DFK “Dainava”. On April 24, at 8 p.m. Vilnius, LFF Stadium. Previous: 1:0.

Round 10 will also pit the best offense against the best defense.

Zalgiris’s defense falters from time to time, but the offense with its often drawn weapons after the substitution pays dividends. In the last two matches, the Vilnius team conceded first and had to show character – the best example of this happened on Sunday, when three goals were scored in a few minutes. During the five consecutive victories, different players are distinguished by accurate shots, this year there are as many as eight. The only concern is the injury situation of team captain Ovidijus Verbick.

The Dainavie team conceded more than one goal during the match only once in the first round, and they will come to Vilnius in the worst stage – having experienced two minimal away defeats against teams fighting for the highest places. Strategist Sergejus Kuznetsovs made quite late changes in Šiauliai, so we can expect changes in the starting line-up on Wednesday. Despite the powerful attack of “Žalgiris”, it is difficult to expect that the defensive fortifications with three experienced Ukrainians will be breached often.
