Unfortunately, this idyll will end right here. A cyclone will approach from the west already on Tuesday night. The sky will be overcast, and rain clouds from the atmospheric front will reach the western and central regions of the country in the morning. The wind will be south, south-west, moderate. The cloudy night will still be warm: the temperature will be 7-12 degrees, the temperature on the beach will fluctuate around 5 degrees.
On Tuesday, the center of the cyclone will pass through our region. It will rain abundantly in many areas, but in the north-western regions it will rain less and it will rain for a shorter time. The wind will turn from the west, it will strengthen to 8-13 m/s, in some places in the southwestern areas the gusts may reach 15-18 m/s. The weather will cool down significantly: it will be only 8-13 degrees in the western regions, 14-16 degrees in the central areas, and only in the eastern edge of the country, where the rain will arrive the latest, it will be able to warm up to 17-19 degrees.
On Wednesday, Lithuania will enter the southwestern – colder part of the cyclone. A cold atmospheric front will pass at night, which will pave the way for even colder weather in our region. Both at night and during the day, it will rain and drizzle in many places. Heavy precipitation is expected in Aukštaitia. A strong wind will already blow from the west, north-west, at night in some places, during the day its gusts will reach 15-20 m/s in many places. The temperature will drop even more: at night it will be only 0-5 degrees, during the day it will be only 3-8 degrees at best.
On Thursday, a narrow band of high pressure will pass through Lithuania. It will clear up at night, there will be no significant precipitation, only in the morning fog may form in some places. The wind will still prevail from the north, but will gradually calm down. The night will be cold, around 0-5 degrees below zero. In wet places, let’s avoid baldness.
On Thursday, significant precipitation is not expected in the greater part of the country, only on the coast it may rain a little in the evening. A moderate east, south-east wind will blow. We will get a little more heat, about 5-10 degrees.
Clouds generated by a new Atlantic cyclone should reach our country on Friday. At night in some places, it will rain again in many places during the day. The wind will blow from the southeast at night, it will be moderate, during the day it will turn from the south, it will become a gust. The temperature at night will range from 1 degree of cold in the northeastern regions to 4 degrees of heat in the southwestern part of the country. During the day, the weather should warm up to 8-13 degrees Celsius.
Next weekend, the rain promises to last only Saturday night. Later, the weather should dry out, and the chance of rain will decrease. With southwesterly flows, more warmth should return, at least briefly.
